In the Arena accepts applications from qualified individuals on a quarterly basis. Application deadlines are March 31st, June 30th, September 30th and December 31st. Applicants will be notified of Arena Roster appointments within four weeks of each application deadline. If you’re interested in the program and believe you meet the following entry-level criteria, then drop us a line at applications@in-the-arena.org and tell us a bit about yourself.
-
All applicants to In the Arena’s Roster must have their college degree by the time their proposed program begins.
-
All applicants must have a credible chance at making the U.S. Olympic Team for the approaching Summer or Winter Games.
-
All proposed community programs must target specific work with at least 100 Americans between the ages of 10 and 18 over the course of 12 months.
-
All applicants, if applying for a stipend as part of their program, must demonstrate financial need and can not have earned more than $45,000/year on a three-year moving average. If you are not seeking a stipend, then there is no governing income ceiling.
-
It is not a requirement that an applicant has had prior experience with community service, but it is expected that all applicants have a passion for working with youth and an appreciation for the way in which civic engagement could play an integral role in their futures.
